Lesca Lunetier

Paris, 2019

Joël LESCA created his first collection in 1964 in a workshop in the Secrétan district of Paris’ 19th arrondissement. Over the years, he has built up a solid clientele of independent opticians and specialist outlets around the world. Since then, Lesca has worked with craftsmen from several European countries, notably France and Germany. Inspired by the handcrafting techniques of yesteryear, LESCA eyewear is riveted and shaped to strict specifications. Reluctant to use mass production techniques, Lesca has developed limited series collections in workshops or factories on a human scale.

For Lesca, we created the JL symbol found on the temples, as well as a range of green boxes inspired by the 70s. We also designed a marbled paper cleaning wipe created especially for Lesca by a Parisian craftsman.
