Maison Aleph
Paris, 2017
Maison Aleph was founded by Myriam Sabet. She fell into the gourmet trap at an early age, and spent 10 years growing up in Aleppo, Syria, in the shade of citrus trees. She discovers the subtlety of the Damascus rose, the freshness of lemonades prepared by her mother to be enjoyed all year round, the subtlety of jasmine, the power of halva… Without knowing it, these flavors will be the keystone of the Maison Aleph project. Each pastry is worked exclusively, in creations as well as traditions. So, in addition to her own creations, Myriam Sabet invites you to rediscover classic Levantine pastries, such as baklawa.
For the visual identity we developed, every detail was carefully studied, right down to the packaging we created. The pattern of the various boxes was inspired by the floor of an Umayyad-era palace in Aleppo, now partially destroyed. We’ve tried to convey the richness and graphic finesse of Levantine ornamentation, without resorting to clichés.
